Korean Grill: Just Throw it in the Paaaan.

On a wild night on Queen Street our hungry bellies led us to try out the oh so popular Korean Grill. This unique Asian restaurant lets you cook your own meals. Each table comes with a little pan/barrel thing lol and you just toss your meat in there. We chose the buffet option which gives you some unlimited rice, veggies and your choice of unlimited meat to fry. They actually had beef ribs there too! Mmm soo GOOD. Oh yea and all the meat is marinated already. All this for only $12.95 ha!

Winter Hair Care Tips.

We all make adjustments for Winter and our hair shouldn't be left out, so here are my winter hair care tips. =)


1. Colder and dryer weather, means dryer skin AND hair. Keeping your hair moisturized in the winter will prevent unnecessary breakage. Do this by increasing your deep conditioning and moisturizing. Remember to SEAL your strands when you moisturize ( applying a thin layer of oil over your hair after moisturizing).

2. Try more protective styling. This means weaves, braids, twists, buns,etc. Anything to keep your ends tucked away and off your shoulders. Winter means more wool coats and sweaters which can snag your ends and dry them out so protect!

3. If you choose to wear your hair out for the winter, try wearing more up dos to keep your ends protected. Keep your hair heavily moisturized and pay special attention to your ends (they're the oldest parts of your strands).

4. You should be doing this regardless of the season, but remember to wrap your hair at night with a SILK or SATIN scarf. These fabrics do not absorb the moisture out of your hair as much as your cotton pillowcases will. If you're too lazy or your scarves keep falling off, buy silk pillowcases instead!


For me winter is the time where I pay the most attention to my hair so that by spring time it flourishes! Good luck folks.

Being sick for the past two days with no laptop has resulted in my entertaining myself the old fashion way.. Television.
I stayed up watching Top Gun for the first time in my life, Scream 3 (I know random selection) & The Infamous Lost Boys. The whole time I thought Lost Boys was just about a gang of teenagers, just by judging of the cover of the book in high school, to come to find out it was about a gang of Teenage Vampires. Are Catholic School allowed to incorporate such material in the curriculum? Hmm.. Anyways, I didn't get to watch the whole movie because my mother took over and changed the channel but I must say the theme song of for the movie is quite addictive.

Where The Wild Things Are.

I'm sure anyone who has ever been to kindergarten knows about this movie coming out. I remember falling in love with it then. For those who aren't familiar, this book is basically about a young boy named Max, who loves to play in his wolf costume. He gets into some mischief and is sent to his room with no dinner. While in his room he creates an imaginary world and travels by a sailboat to the land of the "Wild Things". He becomes the king because he's able to stare in the creatures' eyes without blinking. He eventually returns home cause he gets homesick. When he comes back to his room, his dinner is brought up to him.

The book is actually really short but the movie is basically riding off of it. Apparently the author was originally planning on making these "wild things" horses but he couldn't draw horses so he drew "things" instead lol. The creatures are apparently based off his aunts and uncles [exaggerated and distorted I'm sure].

I believe the book is basically showing how children use fantasy to express their emotions and handle them. It's getting rave reviews like I knew it would. I just loveeeeeeee this book and I must see it. It's out October 16th.
